The Enterprise Edition of Professional Quest can create a Web-based administration portal for your surveys. The portal is created at the same time as the survey itself. Each portal created relates to a specific survey, and therefore can be customised to provide the features necessary for the survey.
Some of the key benefits of the portal are:
 |
"Real-time" data |
 |
Open access via any browser |
 |
Easy to use interface |
"Real-time" data refers to the fact that all data shown in the portal is from the Web database itself, and therefore reflects the most recent changes (ie. the most recent responses etc.) This is particularly important when using the standard Microsoft Access backend for your surveys, since the data must be imported off the Web site periodically to update your survey project data.
Any changes made in the portal are also instantly reflected in the survey data - additions, deletions and changes are saved directly to the Web survey data.
Open access via any browser means that anyone, including people who do not use Professional Quest, can be provided access to the portal. They can access it simply by going to the Web URL you provide to them.
A flexible security system makes it possible to provide different people with access to different areas of the portal. Management, for example, might only need access to a one-page executive summary. You, however, might want to give yourself access to all areas of the portal, including a full listing of responses and statistics.

The Web portal is very intuitive and easy to use, because it works like any other Web site. Access to portal areas is through a tabbed interface, and each tab page has a number of simple controls that would be familiar to anyone who has used a Web site or a Windows application.
