The non-HTML survey preview is used primarily as a method of testing validations and flow control within a survey. It is the best way to check the logic of a survey if you do not have the live HTML preview set up on your system (unlike the HTML preview, this preview does not require IIS to be installed on your machine).
The non-HTML survey preview simulates the non-HTML data entry process, including the toolbar for moving between pages and saving a response:
Note that this is only a simulation, and therefore responses cannot actually be saved.
Where possible, it is recommended that the HTML Live Preview is used in preference to this preview if it is available, because a number of advanced features (including randomisation, quota control and other market research features) are not available in the non-HTML survey preview. |
